Tokyo Sea Life Park

For anyone visiting Tokyo who has an interest in fish or aquariums, Tokyo Sea Life Park (Kasai Rinkai Suizokuen) is definitely worth a visit.

Tokyo Sea Life Park

Located a quick 5 minute walk from JR Kasai Rinkai Koen Station, it was an easy 15 minute train ride from Tokyo station.

As we walked around we got to see the many different exhibits such as Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Carribean Sea.

There were also Deep Sea and Shoreline Habitats.

But our favorite was the massive tuna tank!

If you time your visit right you can experience feeding time at the tuna tank which lets you really see the speed and power of these fish!

Maguro Sashimi

A couple blocks away from the Japanese doll shop, down in a basement level restaurant, was our destination for lunch. Earlier our friends had researched lunch places for us and came up with this restaurant that specializes in maguro! For the lunch special you could choose either maguro-don or sashimi.

Maguro Don

Then on top of that you could have all you could eat of the side dishes. This included miso soup, rice, salad, fruits, the fish katsu you see below and several other filling options.

Fish Katsu

Everything was delicious and with the all you can eat side dishes, it was a great deal!

Hina Ningyo

On the way to an early lunch with our friends, we stopped off at a famous store called Kyugetsu to take a look at some Japanese Girl’s & Boy’s Day dolls.

Hina Ningyo

I knew that girl’s day dolls were expensive…but I had no idea that a setup like the one above could go for around $38,000!

After our look around the doll shop, we crossed over some bridges and made our way to our next stop…lunch!

Akihabara Night

We made a quick stop in Akihabara to buy another camera memory card before heading back to the hotel for the night.
