Kabuki Theater, Ginza

When we were done checking out Tsukiji, we slowly made our way toward Ginza. On the way we walked by the Kabuki-za Theatre. It’s a beautiful building. Too bad, our friend told us it will be demolished in 2010 in favor of a new more modern looking building.

When we got to Ginza it was still pretty early, not too many stores were open yet.

After checking out a couple of small shops that were open, we made our way to a big department store just as it opened for the day.

Since we got there at the start of the day, the basement food levels were very well stocked with all kinds of delicious looking foods. It was a tough choice but we finally decided on a variety of pastry snacks to enjoy later in the day.

Strawberry Mochi

While waiting for our shinkansen departure time, we took a stroll around the basement levels of the JR Nagoya Takashimaya located inside the station.

I was so tempted to get the strawberry mochi above.

Japan Sandwiches

Not to mention these sandwiches, tempura, and korokke!
